Privacy Policy

Welcome to Remi Todo (v1.0.2). Your privacy is critically important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data in the latest version of our mission tracker.

📂 1. Information Collection and Use

We process data to help you conquer your missions:

• Local Data (Default): Tasks, Streak History, and Mission data are stored on your device using encrypted AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you enable Sync.
• Cloud Data (Optional): If you enable "Cloud Sync", we securely store your Email and Mission Data in Firebase to allow cross-device recovery.
• Streak Records: The app tracks your daily check-ins locally to maintain your "Mission Mastery" progress.
• Certificates: When you complete a streak, the app generates a "Mission Mastery Certificate" locally. We do not store these images on our servers.

🔔 2. Notifications & Permissions

The app requests specific permissions to function correctly:

• Notifications & Alarms: Used for precise mission reminders and daily task updates to ensure you never break your daily streaks.
• Calendar & Task Sync: If enabled, the app syncs your mission deadlines to your primary calendar so you can track your goals across all devices.
• Media, Gallery & Video Access: Specifically required for the "Save Certificate" feature. While this permission includes video access for broad system compatibility, we only use it to save certificate images to your gallery.
• Haptic Feedback: Uses the device motor for physical feedback when completing tasks.

❌ 3. What We Do NOT Collect or Use

For absolute clarity and your peace of mind, Remi Todo does NOT do the following:

• No Media Scraping: Although we ask for Media permission to save certificates, we do not read your existing photos or videos.
• No Background Audio: The app does not record or play audio in the background.
• No Real-time Location: We do not track or store your GPS coordinates or live location.
• No Third-Party Advertising: We do not include third-party ads that track your behavior.

🛡️ 3. Data Security and Retention

We use industry-standard security measures:

Cloud data is hosted on Google Firebase with restricted access permissions. We retain your cloud data only as long as your account remains active. You can request data deletion at any time by contacting us.

Note: Local-only data is deleted permanently when you uninstall the app.

🌐 4. Third-Party Services

We utilize the following service providers:

• Google Firebase: Used for Firestore database storage and optional app analytics.
• Google Calendar API: Used exclusively for syncing your tasks to your calendar upon request.
• External Links: The 'About' section may link to GitHub or LinkedIn; we do not control their privacy practices.

👶 5. Children’s Privacy

Our application is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
